Hi, I’m Madelyn.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Elon University in December 2024, where I studied English Creative Writing, Drama Theatre Studies, and Literature. Now in New York, I’m eager to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment where I can apply my writing skills across creative and collaborative projects.
Growing up, storytelling was a fundamental part of my life. For 11 years, I was a musical theatre student at Artistree Performing Arts. Around this time, while studying the characters I played, I began to create my own. Drafting fictional narratives between rehearsals and creating complex plotlines, I experienced the impact of creating beautiful stories.
I’m passionate about crafting my work and engaging with audiences on various platforms. Whether developing content strategies as an English Department intern, researching roles for the play I wrote this fall, or collaborating with a team in London for a 30-second video reel, I’m committed to producing thoughtful and engaging work.
Speaking of London, I studied abroad in the fall of 2024 and will never shut up about it. It was among the bustling crowds of London that I got a taste of the professional world. Working as an Editorial Intern at The Handbook allowed me to see the potential I held when combining my artistic ideas and writing skills with the fast-paced world of social media.
Shortly after my graduation, I joined the Music Conservatory of Westchester as a Social Media and Development Assistant. Most recently, I wrote, cast, and produced my original play, ‘Mom Play,’ an off-Broadway production at the AMT Theatre in New York City, with RJ Theatre Company for their 2nd Annual Circle Theatre Festival.
